Holiday Gift Certificates
Go gift certificates! I am all for the personal gift, but as an organizer I will readily admit that there are many gifts I receive, with wonderful and appreciated good thoughts from the giver (I thank you all) that I just can’t use. Maybe you know what I mean. But gift certificates mean you can use them to get something you would truly like, hence eliminating the continuing contributions to …. clutter.

Holiday Attire
I don’t have anything to wear! If that is you talking on the night of your first holiday party, time to try planning your wardrobe for holiday events in advance. Sometimes we are so intent on gifts for everyone else, we forget about ourselves…. Make a list of the events you plan to attend and check out your wardrobe in advance so you can look your shimmery, shiny, holiday best.

Gift Wrapping
Take stock! Do you find yourself ready to do your wrapping with five packages of tissue, ten rolls of wrapping paper and no ribbon? Out of tape? Do a little inventory in advance of your first holiday gift shopping trip and stock up on just what you need. Better yet, do an inventory right after the holiday and stock up while everything is on super sale!

Ready to checkout
Love those checkout lines around the holidays? Me neither, so try scheduling your gift shopping on a Monday – malls and big stores area usually open then, and MUCH less crowded than other nights and weekends. Or, do the on-line shopping trick: Take your list, sit down at the computer and start ordering - avoid the lines all together!
