You know January is the perfect month to focus on starting fresh. When we think of fresh, we think of clean. It’s time to clean up the clutter that holds you down and holds you back.
Let’s look at a few ways this clutter addiction keeps you from being your best self.
Clutter-Building Mistakes to Avoid
Number One Mistake: Staying Up Too Late
It’s easy to connect the dots on this one. If you don’t get some sleep, you can’t wake up on time. Then you race around and leave a swirl of disorder and clutter in your wake. Starting the day, and everyday behind, is no way to leave a peaceful, less-stress life.
Give yourself a bedtime. Set an alarm on your phone to ring a warning reminder each evening. Get ready, get in bed and ditch those electronics. Read a book or magazine a bit and then turn out the light. Get in a routine and your body will recognize it.
Get up on time. Allow enough time to not only get ready but to do things that pile up such as unload and reload the dishwasher and turn on a load of laundry that you can dry when you get home.
Until next time …
