Ever go house hunting and then just laugh and laugh when you get back in the car? You realize the seller is just stuck in a time warp. You can track the decades with harvest gold, avocado green, country blue, mauve, terra cotta, sage and beige and more beige. You don’t see a bit of the grey and white popular now.
Many of us have once stylish but now dated items. When you grab a pretty new metallic lamp and go home and shove the old one into the basement, you’ve just created back-in-the-day-clutter.
If it is outdated, it’s outdated.Or maybe the style doesn’t go with your décor. Maybe it isn’t an antique but just old? No matter if it is clothes, accent pillows, throws, curtains or other items, if they are part of your outdated collection, out they go.
It’s so easy to see this happen. You get new dishes yet the placemats and napkins coordinating with your old set linger in the closet never to be used again.
The time is now to get rid of this collection. If it isn’t in use and is shoved in a closet, basement, attic, storage unit or shed, you are never going to use it again. Out it goes.
Until next time …
