Consciously watching and listening is another technique for being really
present in the moment. It’s also really good for business and relationships.
Think about the difference in what you learn when you lean back and really observe others around a conference room
table. Everything from body language to their interactions to their words tells
you something you can learn from and use. Much of that information gets lost
when your focus is on interjecting your thoughts into every dialog. Instead of focusing on what they are saying,
you are mentally swinging from tree to tree trying to see how you can be seen.
In the end, the more you listen, the more you know so that when you do present
an idea, it is going to be a really intelligent sparkling idea.
