Get concrete with your plans for the coming year. (We won’t call them resolutions if that wigs you out!) Take the self-review that you did and use those thoughts to spark ideas for what you need to change and how you should grow.
It’s not possible to change everything at once. Even if you are the best multi-tasker in the world, trying to change everything at once would not be wise and would be very daunting. Planning on making one change at a time is the key to success.
- Make a list of the things you thought of that you would like to change or improve. Take time to actually write the list down.
- Next, decide on the priority of each item. Is there something timely that you need to do first? Something costing you money if you don’t make a change? Think through each item and then number them in order of importance.
- Begin with the first item and only give your attention to it. Create a plan on how to fix or change the first item. Sit down and make a plan just like you would any project. What steps do you need to do? Do you need supplies? Do you need to create a new operations routine? Do you need to find a new vendor? Make a list of every step you consider.
- Take your steps and prioritize those. What comes first? And next?
