Have you noticed we as an society generate a lot of paper-although we are suppose to be a paperless society. So where does all the paper come from? Junk mail, emails, our children papers, our own papers that we have to print out-just in case we want to refer back to it ‘one day.’ Here are some tips to eliminate all that paper-or at least control it
1. Do you really need to print out the ten page email? Why not print only what you need. For example, when I order online I only need the confirmation number and total cost of the purchase-usually you can print one page and all the information is there.
2. Do you subscribe to electronic newsletters? No need to print them out, read them on your computer and delete them afterwards-or better yet forward them to a friend.
3. Have many times do you grab a post it note or piece of paper to write a number or message? Keep a 8X11 notebook for all numbers, messages and think outside the box ideas. This way everything is in a central place.
Until next time…
