You really maximize productivity in your business or in your workplace if you create a policy and procedure for handling routine and reoccurring tasks. Think of it as quality control. I suspect we’ve all seen photos of completed meals hanging at a restaurant. These photos serve as a reminder to cooks about what each finished plate should look like. It is a method of quality control.
Too often, we do repetitive tasks by starting from scratch. We don’t create a master checklist. We don’t create a form or template that can be filled out.
Begin to think about how list making or form making could save time and influence quality in your work and implement lists in that way.
